Important Update: As of 18/09/2020 our phonelines between 12 and 2pm will be emergency calls only. We ask all medication is ordered online where possible. We are unable to take any medication requests before 10am.

Due to the recent local COVID outbreak we are restricting access to the building to help protect staff and patients. Please only come to the surgery if you have been invited to do so and only at the allocated time. All prescription requests must be done online or over the telephone and will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. Due to the high volume of calls, all COVID related queries will be directed to the government website.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer COVID antibody testing at present

Latest Update!

As of 18/09/2020 our phone lines will be closed for emergency calls only between the hours of 12 and 2pm. Anybody ringing during this time for general enquires will be asked to call back after 2pm. Due to the extremely high call demand, we ask for all medication ordering to be done online where possible. If you are unable to order online, please call after 10am weekdays. We are unable to take any medication queries before 10am. Thank you for your patience.

Exemption Letters

Unfortunately as a practice, we are unable to issue exemption letters for face coverings. If you would like further information on why we are unable to issue these or information on face coverings, see our attached patient letter below.

Coronavirus

If you have developed a fever, shortness of breath or a cough DO NOT come into the surgery. Stay at home. You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you are staying at home.

Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:

  • You feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
  • Your condition is getting worse
  • Your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

Respiratory Rescue Packs

There has been much activity on social media providing the need for respiratory rescue packs for asthma patients. Please note the clinical advice below:
For asthma patients: patients should not be provided with rescue packs, they need to seek medical assistance as per their asthma action plan. Ask for a GP appointment (which would be triaged on the phone due to COVID-19).

For COPD patients: routine rescue packs should not be given/re-issued without the clinician having a very explicit conversation with the patient distinguishing between symptoms of COVID-19 (for which a rescue pack could actually cause harm) VS symptoms of COPD exacerbation.


Accessible Information Standard

We want to get better at communicating with our patients. We want to make sure you can read and understand the information we send you. If you find it hard to read our letters or if you need someone to support you at appointments, please let us know.

We want to know if you need information in large print or easy read.

We want to know if you need British Sign Language Interpreter or advocate.

We want to know if we can support you to lipread or use a hearing aid or communication tool.
